Gardaí in Waterford are looking for a man after an assault in the city early this morning left a woman in hospital.
The woman in her early 20s was attacked on South Parade shortly after 6am.
She was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital suffering from injuries to her head and eyes.
The man is described as being 1.65m (5ft 5in) in height and was wearing a dark hoodie with a baseball cap.
Anyone with information is asked to contact gardaí in Waterford.
