Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run incident last week that left an man seriously injured at the end of last month.

An elderly male pedestrian was hit by what was described as a Toyota taxi with a roof sign. The man was run over just before midnight on Monday, November 26th, on Drumcondra Road Lower.

Gardaí say the vehicle may have damage to the bonnet and windscreen.

The man is in a serious condition in the Mater Hospital.
