Aston Villa have completed the loan signing of Joey Gudjonsson, who has set his sights on securing a permanent move to the Premiership club.
The 22-year-old Real Betis midfielder is now relishing the chance to show the Villa fans what he can do.
He told the club's official website, www.avfc.co.uk: "It's great to be here. It's all happened quite quickly and I'm pleased with that.
"Now I'm just looking forward to re-starting my football career here. I like to play in the centre of midfield and I like to think I'm quite aggressive.
"I like to tackle and I like to win the ball, but I can also get in good attacking positions and I think I can score some goals as well.
"I will give everything for the club. I will give everything I have to prove to Graham Taylor and to the fans that I am worthy of a move to Aston Villa."
Gudjonsson has failed to make an impact so far this season with Real Betis, but now he is determined to turn his career around at Villa.
