Aston Villa have linked up with Danish Super League club AB Copenhagen to co-operate on scouting methods, training and player development.
The deal will give Villa a chance to take a look at some of the brightest young stars in Scandinavia and will also offer the club's academy players to gain valuable experience in Denmark.
"As a leading Premiership club, we need a presence in Europe and this partnership means we will be able to keep an eye on the best young players at AB and their rivals, while allowing our younger players to gain experience by playing in Denmark," Villa boss Graham Taylor told the club's official website, www.astonvilla-fc.co.uk.
The agreement will be formally announced at a press conference in Copenhagen later today and could eventually also be expanded into commercial and strategic areas.
AB have just returned from their winter break and lie fourth in the Danish Superligaen table.
