ONE of the most visibly successful cross European collaborations been between Jole Bortoli, Ramaioli, Charlie O'Neill Brendan Forman. They are graphic designers and all round creatives who got together in 1987 to form The Graphiconies.
Initially they worked at creating wonderfully bold and graphic posters and programmes for theatre and art related events. Their graphic style instantly recognisable influenced hordes of other poster designers. Since then they've slightly changed direction and their name - to PCC - and are a non profit, full service, communications group with clients that include Temple Bar Properties, the Arts Council and Trocaire.
Their client Christmas parties are becoming the stuff of legend and are enough to make other more stuffy company directors blanche: Jole and Giancarlo cook a lavish, authentic, Italian meal for 130 while Charlie coordinates the entertainment, which includes clowning and opera.
