The British government is facing new demands for a crackdown on dissident republican terrorists opposed to the Northern Ireland peace process.
Ms Jane Kennedy, the Northern Ireland Security Minister, was urged to act after the Continuity IRA admitted bombing customs offices in Co Fermanagh.
A crude device planted at Killyhevlin industrial estate in Enniskillen, shattering windows but causing no injuries, was against a "crown target", the splinter grouping said.
Fearing more attacks, UUP chairman Mr James Cooper demanded extra resources to combat the threat. "I am greatly concerned that they and other republican dissidents will attempt to launch further terrorist attacks, particularly in border areas," he said.
"I would call on the Security Minister to do everything possible to ensure the police and Army have the necessary resources to counter the threat during what will be a very demanding period."
The explosion on Sunday followed a telephone warning that a bomb had been left at the document processing centre for duty and VAT claims.
Mr Cooper insisted those who launched the attack have nothing to offer society.
"They have no political ideology and have no respect for human life or property."
