WASHINGTON - The US announced yesterday it was giving $2 million to help alleviate famine in communist North Korea.
The World Food Programme says several million people, including 2.5 million women and, children, face possible starvation during a bitterly cold winter. But South Korea hash opposed moves to help its neighbour.
