The twin-deck ferry had nearly 200 passengers on board when it sank in the Tetulia River in the Bhola district amid high winds and waves, the United News of Bangladesh reports.

At least 50 other passengers managed to swim to safety.

Rescuers found two bodies floating in the river and are searching for about 150 others who are feared drowned.
