UEFA confirmed today that Manchester United's Champions League clash with Maccabi Haifa next month will not be moved from Cyprus.

Haifa, an Israeli club, are forced to concede home advantage for their group games because of the ongoing political situation in the Middle East.

They will `host' United, Bayer Leverkusen and Olympiakos in Nicosia.

The club have written to UEFA president Lennart Johansson requesting him to review the situation.

UEFA said today that Nicosia was the venue agreed by the club and the Israeli Football Association.
