Pharmaceutical distributor United Drug is on track to deliver double-digit growth this year following the successful integration of recent acquisitions.
In a trading update issued this morning, United Drug said that it expects its current strong trading performance to continue into the second half of the financial year.
The company added that the three acquisitions completed in the second half of 2005 - In2Focus, TD Packaging and Presearch - are on target to make a positive contribution to earnings this year.
The company said talks between the Health Service Executive and the pharmacy lobby have begun and that a new agreement covering the pricing and reimbursement of medicines should be in place before the end of 2006.
