Typhoon heads towards Tokyo

Tokyo - A powerful typhoon, packing maximum winds of 126 m.p.h., was expected to strike areas near Tokyo early today, the Meteorological Agency said yesterday. As of 6 p.m. typhoon David was about 188 miles south of Tokyo and moving north-northwest at 16 m.p.h., the agency said.
