A man and woman are being treated for shock after number of shots were fired at a house in Coleraine Co Derry last night.

The incident took place in the Newbridge Park area of Coleraine shortly before 11 p.m. last night.

One shot was fired through an upstairs bedroom window showering the man with broken glass. Further shots were fired through a downstairs window and attempts were made to force open the front door of the house.

The RUC are investigating the possibility that a blue Ford Escort car later found burned out in Ballymoney may have been used in the shooting.
