Two men were being questioned today about the murder of a man in Belfast at the height of the loyalist feud in 2002.

Two men were being questioned today about the murder of a man in Belfast at the height of the loyalist feud in 2002.

The pair,  arrested by detectives in the Belfast area, were being questioned about the murder of Alexander McKinley, shot dead in October 2002.

Mr McKinley (22) was shot in the head at Euston Street in the Woodstock Road area of east Belfast on October 7th and died almost a week later in hospital.

He was murdered during a period of bitter tension between the Ulster Defence Association and the Loyalist Volunteer Force.

The feud was sparked by the murder of LVF member Stephen Warnock in Newtownards, Co Down, and the wounding of senior UDA figure Jim Gray in east Belfast in September 2002.
