A man was shot in a knee in Moygashel, Co Tyrone, after he was dragged out of a telephone box by two men while making a call.

Elswhere, on the Rathcoole Estate in Newtownabbey on the outskirts of north Belfast, a man was shot twice in his right leg.

A gang of five masked men entered his house in Innis Park and shot him.
