Two men have been arrested following a shooting at a house in Dublin last night.

At around 12.45am gardaí answered a call saying shots had been fired through the front window and door of a house on St Attracta Road, Cabra.

On arrival, gardaí established that the perpetrators had escaped in a silver-coloured four-door Nissan car.

Following a search of the area the car was found crashed on Broombridge Road and an 18-year-old man was arrested nearby. Further investigations led to the arrest of another 18-year-old man a short time later.

The men are being held at Mountjoy and Bridewell garda stations under Section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.

A man and a woman who were in the house at the time were uninjured in the shooting.

Both the car and the house are being preserved for technical examination.
