The court heard that the value of the drugs found in Wednesday night's seizure was €45,000.

The court granted consent to bail on the condition that both men enter into a bail bond of €5,000 each, plus two independent sureties of €15,000. They will also have to surrender their passports.

Until these conditions are fulfilled, they will remain in Garda custody.

When they are on bail, they will have to sign on at Henry Street Garda station every day between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Neither Mr Hanley nor Mr Costello said anything during the brief hearing before Judge Mary Martin.
