Two men have died following a road traffic crash in Co Westmeath early this morning.
The men, aged 19 and 32, were killed when their car went out of control and hit a ditch at Greatdown, The Downs in Mullingar at around 1.45am.
A passer-by managed to free one of the occupants of the car, a 19-year-old man. He received serious injuries and is being treated at the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
All three men are believed to be from the locality.
No other vehicle was involved.
