Two people have been killed in a road traffic collision in Limerick this afternoon.
The man and woman, who were travelling in the same car, died in the two-vehicle crash on the N21 between Adare and Newcastlewest shortly after 2pm.
It is understood both victims were in their 70s.
The driver and passenger in the second car were injured and taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
