A 64 year old Limerick woman was killed in a road accident in which two cars collided on the main Limerick Ennis road yesterday evening. A two year old boy and the driver of the other car were taken to Limerick Regional Hospital. Both were later discharged. The dead woman, who is believed to be from the Raheen area of Limerick, has not been named.

Meanwhile, a Kilkenny man in his 60s was killed when his car collided with a bus on the Waterford New Ross Road at Slieverue last night. One passenger on board the bus was treated for shock at Waterford Regional Hospital. The dead man has not been named.
