Two people have been arrested after gardaí raided a cannabis factory in Co Cork.

Two people have been arrested after gardaí raided a cannabis factory in Co Cork.

Gardaí found 5kg of herbal cannabis worth €60,000 and a number of cannabis plants, valued at €4,500, during a planned search of farm buildings in the Kealkill area of Bantry.

A 52-year-old woman and a  man  (21) were arrested.

They are being held in Bantry Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
