Gardaí in Co Tipperary have arrested two people in relation to a serious assault which left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
The attack took place outside a pub on Mitchell Street, Thurles early yesterday morning.
The man (22), who is understood to have received facial injuries, was transferred to South Tipperary General Hospital.
Two youths are being held at Thurles Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
