Louise had two other sisters, Lena, 16 and Siobhan, 14.

Veronica, a pupil at St Mary's National School, was one of five children.

The two girls are to be buried together.

A Coast Guard helicopter with heat-seeking equipment based at Dublin Airport joined the search of the area around Hollywood Lake near Scotstown.

A Garda spokesman said it appeared the girls had fallen through ice.
