Two men have died following separate road accidents in Co Westmeath and Co Dublin today.

A man in his 60s was killed when the car he was driving left the road near Killucan Village at 6:30pm this evening.

The man was driving along the Killucan to Raharney road and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

A post mortem will take place to establish the exact cause of death.

Meanwhile, in Dublin a man in his 40s was killed when the motorcycle he was riding struck an exit barrier in Corkagh Park, Clondalkin, shortly after 6pm this evening.

No other vehicles involved in the incident and the circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
