Tullow Oil, the UK explorer with the most licenses in Africa, said drilling in the Warthog-1 exploration well in Uganda was successful.
Operations at Warthog-1, in which Tullow shares ownership with Heritage Oil, began on September 27th and was drilled to a total depth of 911 meters (2,990 feet), Tullow said today in a statement.
