UK explorersTullow Oil and Heritage Oil this morning reported that their Kingfisher-2 Ugandan appraisal well had found “excellent” oil shows from three potential sandstone reservoirs.
Preliminary interpretation of the drilling shaft indicates the reservoirs may be comparable to three zones in the Kingfisher-1 well, which tested at a combined flow rate of 9,773 barrels a day, the companies said today in a statement.
