Irish Ferries will enter the high-speed ferry market next summer when they take delivery of the Dublin Swift. Aluminium-built with a proven catamaran design, it will reduce the Dublin-Holyhead journey time by more than 90 minutes. The will sail eight times a day carrying up to 800 passengers and 200 cars. The is being built in Fremantle in Australia, and will make its maiden voyage by sailing under its own power all the way back to Dublin, via Indonesia, Africa, Suez Canal, and the Mediterranean. Unfortunately they will not be taking passengers to their historic voyage.

A most unusual way to see England's largest county is in an hotel on wheels. Double Deck Travel has converted double deck buses to act as travelling hotels to see the of Yorkshire. Each bus is equipped with four cabins having two full-size beds, and with hot and cold water.

Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis. Other meals are taken in a selection of restaurants, or hotels along the route. The aim is to see Yorkshire as only a native can show it. You can take a two and a half day tour or a five day tour. Sights of interest include Castle Howard, Rievaulx Abbey, the Moors, Whitby, Scarborough, the White Horse of Kilburn, Thirsk and home of the Bronte family, Haworth.
