Three teenagers are due to appear in court in Antrim this morning charged in connection with the assault of a 15-year-old youth last Friday.

The assault occurred close to Greystone Primary School on the Greystone Road in the town at 11.30 p.m. The Catholic teenager remains in a critical condition in hospital..... He was allegedly hit on the head with a hatchet.

A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old youth will face a charge of attempted murder, while another 17-year-old is to be charged with conspiracy to wound with intent.Yesterday, a 16-year-old youth appeared at Antrim Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder in connection with the assault.
