Three teenagers have been questioned by gardai following an attack on a pensioner, who was robbed of £100 when a gang gained access to his house in Bohermore, Galway city, by false pretences. The victim was pinned to the ground while a member of the gang held a screwdriver to his face.

Gardai said yesterday that a file on the incident, which occurred last Friday, had been submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
