Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident at a house in the Moyross area of Limerick last night.

The incident happened at about 10.30pm when a car pulled up outside a house in the White Cross Gardens estate in Moyross.

A man, who was celebrating his 60th birthday party in the house, is understood to have been stabbed a number of times in his chest following a scuffle.

He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital last night where he was treated for his injuries and later released.

Three people are being held at Henry Street and Roxborough Garda stations over the incident.
