Three men are due to appear in a Belfast court this morning after a man was kidnapped in the city on Thursday.

The men, aged in their twenties and early thirties were arrested after the PSNI raided a house in the north of the city.

The police raid took place after being told earlier that a man had been taken hostage in the city.

His sister, a bank employee, was ordered to take a large amount of cash to a man at an undisclosed location and the man was later released unharmed.

A substantial sum of money was recovered during the raid.
