Waterford's lively Red Kettle company, hot on the heels of their Judges' Special Award in the recent Irish Times/ESB Theatre Awards, are clearly bent on demonstrating how and why they earned it.

They open the premiere of Liam Meagher's All In The Head in the Forum Theatre next Monday, with a cast of 32 which includes many children and features actor Brian de Salvo (right).

The play is aimed at a target audience of 8 to 80 years or so. Set inside the head of a 12-year-old boy, it follows his growing-up process through the first stirrings of romance and other mixed emotions. It will be the company's biggest and most technical production ever.
