Texts sent by the former head of Rupert Murdoch’s UK newspapers to British prime minister David Cam- eron, published yesterday, have further revealed their close relationship.
Rebekah Brooks, who is awaiting trial on charges related to the phone-hacking scandal, congratulated Mr Cameron on a “brilliant” 2009 pre-election speech.
“I cried twice. Will love ‘working together’,” Brooks said in one text message.
Another text, published by the Mail on Sunday, showed Cameron effusing about a horse ride he had taken with Brooks’s husband, underlining his close ties with Mr Murdoch’s British operations. – (Reuters)
