A 15-year-old boy with 24 criminal convictions, who attacked a security guard with a bottle, is to face a custodial sentence.
Judge Ann Ryan said the teenager could have killed the doorman, who has been left with a scar to his head.
The boy pleaded guilty at the Children’s Court yesterday to assaulting the man at Wellington Quay, Dublin, on April 9th. He admitted possessing an axe on April 4th.
Judge Ryan adjourned sentencing to await an updated probation report and a victim impact statement.
