An 18-year-old woman was killed following a road accident on the outskirts of Dublin overnight.
The accident happened on the M4 between Lucan and Maynooth at around 10pm last night.
The car she was travelling in is understood to have left the road before colliding with an embankment.
She is the ninth person to die on roads in the Republic since Thursday night.
