Dublin Bus is receiving a windfall worth thousands of pounds every month because commuters are not given their change in cash, according to Fianna Fail TD Mr Martin Brady. Mr Brady says that every month about £18,000 worth of paper vouchers are given out in lieu of change by the bus company. However, only £14,000 of that money is redeemed, according to Mr Brady.
The Dublin TD has called on the company to give commuters tokens for change that can be used on future bus rides.
