THE Provost of Trinity College Dublin has announced a public appeal for items to add to the university's Samuel Beckett archive. Dr Tom Mitchell said the expansion would ensure that Dublin remains a significant centre for Beckett studies.

Trinity College library's collection of items by or related to Beckett is already among the finest in the world. It includes four notebooks of drafts of his works which the playwright presented to the college in 1969.
