The Mid-Western Health Board yesterday confirmed that a case of tuberculosis had been diagnosed at a hostel housing refugees and asylum-seekers in Ennis, Co Clare. The patient, a young man who moved to Ennis before Christmas, had TB diagnosed after being referred to the health board's area medical officer by a local GP. He has been moved to a Dublin hospital for treatment.
