A taxi-driver, Mr John James Dillon (53), was shot a number of times in the head and chest at his Glenties Park, Finglas, home on January 7th, 1999, an inquest into his death at Dublin City Coroner's Court heard yesterday.

Det Insp John Mulligan, Blanchardstown, said nobody had been charged.

The jury returned a verdict of unlawful killing. The file will remain open.
