Three men arrested in relation to the murder of a man in Belfast last week have been released unconditionally.

Three men arrested in relation to the murder of a man in Belfast last week have been released unconditionally.

Danny McKay (36) was shot several times in the living room of his home at Longlands Road in Newtownabbey on the outskirts of north Belfast last Thursday night.

He was shot several times, at least once in the face, by a gunman who fired from a hijacked car which was later found burned out in the west of the city.

The men released from custody last night are aged 28, 41 and 50.

A spokesman for the PSNI said the investigation into the murder was continuing, and police have renewed their appeal to the public for information.
