The Turin-based company added Spurs to their stable - which includes Roma, Blackburn and the Italian and Welsh national teams - in the second major commercial announcement at White Hart Lane this month.

Holiday firm Thomson have already injected £4 million in a two-year shirt sponsorship contract.

With an estimated £15 million now flooding into the club's coffers, boss Glenn Hoddle will be keen to secure funds to improve his squad.

But fans have already reacted angrily to having Thomson's red logo on the shirts because it is the colour of bitter London rivals Arsenal.
