Jamie Spencer has recovered from the effects of his fall at Brighton on Sunday and will be in action at Newmarket this afternoon.

The jockey suffered a hefty fall from Luca Cumani's Holy Island at the seaside venue and gave up his booked rides at Bath and Windsor on Monday.

He underwent physiotherapy on a sore neck and his agent Ray Cochrane said: "He's fine's - he's riding work at Sandown at the moment."

Pat Eddery also returns to action at Newmarket today.

The 11-times champion jockey gave up his mounts at Bath and Windsor yesterday after complaining of feeling unwell.

Ground conditions at Newmarket have eased to good to soft following further rain on the July course this morning.
