Soviet Song came home fourth in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

The Elite Racing Club-owned filly had been pencilled in for the Entenmann's-sponsored Classic but trainer James Fanshawe told the Racing Post: "She didn't scope very well and we now have to get her right for the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

"She's our flagship, so hopefully we can get her and the rest of the string firing at the same time."

The daughter of Marju was meeting with defeat for the first time at Newmarket on what was her seasonal debut.
