England defender Gareth Southgate completed his Stg£6.5 million move to Middlesbrough from Aston Villa this afternoon.
The 30-year-old is new Middlesbrough manager Steve McClaren's first signing since he took over at the Riverside.
The completion of the transfer, announced on Middlesbrough's official website, was confirmed after Southgate underwent a medical at the club.
