Alan Solomons has delayed naming the Ulster starting line-up for Friday's Heineken Cup clash with Stade Francais, choosing instead to announce a provisional squad of 23.

With a couple of injury concerns, and plenty to ponder following Sunday's opening defeat at the hands of Gwent Dragons, the South African will now name his team later in the week.

Solomons also urged Ulster fans to turn out in force at Ravenhill on Friday night with a win vital if the 1999 champions are to go beyond the pool stages.

"I really hope that our supporters come out in droves on Friday night to get behind the side," Solomons told ulsterrugby.ie. "I would really like to see a full-house here on Friday."

23-man Ulster squad:B Cunningham, J Topping, R Constable, P Steinmetz, T Howe, P Wallace, D Humphreys, N Doak, R Kempson, M Sexton, S Best, G Longwell, R Frost, A Ward, N Best, R Wilson, P Shields, R Moore, M Mustchin, T McWhirter, S Stewart, K Campbell, A Larkin.
