A 15-year-old boy, injured in a hit-and-run accident in Portadown, received life-saving first aid from members of the 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment. The teenager sustained serious head and chest injuries after being struck by a silver Vauxhall Corsa at around 6.30 p.m. The boy had stopped breathing twice but was revived by soldiers from a passing patrol. Medical staff at Craigavon Hospital have commended their actions.
