Sydney - Aborigines on Australia's Palm Island are considering legal action against The Guinness Book Of Records for reporting that their island home was the "most violent place on Earth outside a combat zone".

The book said the island's murder rate was 15 times higher than the entire Australian state of Queensland, life expectancy of islanders was 40 years, there had been 40 suicides since 1994 and youth suicide was the highest per capita in the world.
