A lecturer, a former school principal and a public relations consultant are among six new appointees to the Heritage Council

A lecturer, a former school principal and a public relations consultant are among six new appointees to the Heritage Council. Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan yesterday announced the new members.

They are lecturer in history at the University of Limerick Dr Ciara Breathnach; journalist and broadcaster Ted Creedon; public relations consultant Catherine Heaney; conservationist and writer Dr Fidelma Mullane; former school principal and now president of Laois Heritage Society Michael Parsons; and lecturer in medieval archeology at NUI Galway Dr Kieran O’Conor.
