PSNI officers from the Serious Crime Branch have arrested six men following an investigation into suspected dissident republican activity in Belfast.
The men were arrested after police stopped and searched two cars in west Belfast shortly after 10pm last night.
A firearm and a number of other items were recovered.
The men are being held in the serious crime suite of Antrim Road police station.
