Singer Sinead O'Connor, now known as Mother Bernadette, spoke last night of her "Holy Trinity" as singer, mother and priest and promised to administer the sacraments to anybody who wished to partake of them. She told Gay Byrne on the Late Late Show she had been ordained twice as a priest and believed she would be recognised by Rome at some time in the future.

Earlier, Marsha Hunt, editor of a collection of writing by prisoners in Mountjoy Prison, claimed that she and two of the authors had been axed from the show at very short notice without an explanation.
