Paul Simpson has been appointed full-time manager at Carlisle United.
The former Rochdale player-manager has been at the club since last month in a caretaker capacity following the departure of Dubliner Roddy Collins.
Simpson has a huge task ahead of him as Carlisle continue to struggle at the foot of the Nationwide Third Division.
